Island Cottage-style Home

Completed 2005.

One of our most challenging projects... a complete timber frame home, built on an island near Brunswick. We cut the timber frame on the mainland and shipped it by barge to the island. All other materials for the project we sent as needed by barge, thankfully the site was not far from the ocean.

This home features a full timber frame and a solar electric system. A cozy loft at the top of a ship's ladder includes a small desk for an office surrounded by cushioned built-in benches with windows on four sides.
